ESP/ESM Compare Tool

Anyone know of a good way to compare the contents of two esp/esm files? I've had limited success with FNVedit and Wrye.

FNVedit has a compare to option.

Load up one of the files you want to compare and all the masters for the other file.

Right click the file you loaded to compare and then select Compare to option at the top.

Will load the file so that it has the same ID as the other file and then you can apply a filter for cleaning and see what file alters on the other.

If there is an easier way to do this or these instructions are incorrect, please post. I haven't done this too many times myself
