I never used win 8 but from what I heard it seems that it sucks unless you're using it on a touch screen, then, apparently, it is very good.

I'm slowly making it better. I have a dedicated and an integrated GPU in my laptop and the DGPU was staying on constantly heating up my computer. Turns out AMD released a crappy driver in a 16 hour time span or so that I updated to. Fixed that. I also found a workaround for the damn application load errors steam was giving me because I have two steam directories (start it in offline mode). Not really ideal, but it works.


Back on topic anyway. Good news is I pretty finished the shocker and it looks awesome. Bad news is I deleted the folder. I'm going to try and recover it with Recuva... If not, (more) good news is it wasn't really that hard minus the lightning coming out of the vents where steam is supposed to. I just keep f*ing up lately. :D

I deleted my first attempt at it and I wasn't quite able to replicate the results unfortunately. The design is the same, but I had a nifty metal texture before that I couldn't get to look right again along with the lightning coming out of the vents. Ah well. Maybe I'll come back to it. :D


Colonel Autumn's Laser Pistol is next. I got some awesome plans for it.

I had/am having finals this week, so I need to dedicate an appropriate amount of time towards them.


But rest assured, I will be resuming work shortly. I'm going to goof around with another Victory Rifle texture since it will possibly be using a different texture, and then I'll be knocking out the Reservist's Rifle possibly. Afterwards, it was requested that I do Jack and one of the flamethrowers, which I have no objection too. Lord Darius is hard at work creating new (awesome) meshes, but I'm texturing the default meshes (for the most part), so depending on how Jax feels about certain textures, I may have to "transplant" my textures onto his meshes.


EDIT: I just released I used the same caution tape texture in Excalibat that I used in the Shocker. :P Ah well haha.

It's been awhile (longer than I anticipated), but here's a new flamer. I'm a little unsure which flamer it should be, but it turned out okay in my opinion. I may be adding a third tank on top of the large one.

In a moment of non-laziness, I decided to do Jack, the unique ripper weapon. Melee weapons a little difficult for me to think of ideas. Essentially all I did on this one was increased the size of all the ripper blades by about 30% and changed the texture to be "darker" themed and more serial killer like.
