I use the combined FO3/FNV NMC texture pack at the lightest setting. My computer has plenty of VRAM to handle (AMD 7970), but I don't really see a difference between the highest and the lowest settings haha.


As for ENB, I use a modified E ENB. Essentially I turned on original post processing and object processing (I think) and turned everything off except Depth of Field and lowered the ambient lighting, especially indoors. Because of this, IMODS like night vision work and the performance hit is minimal. I can upload the enb config files if you like.


For weather, I only use TTW Fellout as it's stable, and looks good. No rain, but I can survive. ;)

Why is the micro-fusion cell in the metal blaster rusted? Surely they'd look the same as the MF cells in every other gun as they're interchangeable?


Apart from that one specific thing, I am really quite liking this thread. I'd suggest making sure there are duplicate meshes for the uniques when they're done, so anyone using WRP etc doesn't get screwed up textures thanks to UV map changes.

It's really easy to change if people don't like it. It kinda just stuck out like a sore thumb. Well actually, it's not that bad. Ol' Painless doesn't look too bad with the normal mag. The Victory Rifle looks a bit strange with the default magazine. I'll wait and see what Jax wants to do about the magazines.

Don't worry, I got that handled. :P The only thing I believe I have to specifically make a patch for is EVE and that's if people decide to use my textures over EVE's.




I added some things to the Victory Rifle. A USA flag on the stock (you can see it in 1st person) and a Paciencia-like flag on the stock (3rd person and when running in 1st person, you'll see it sometimes). Thoughts?

What is the NV precedent on uniques, are the magazines ever modified? If they are, then leave it rusted, if they aren't then clean it up.

The texture and sometimes the mesh changes based on the unique. Vance's 9mm machine gun changes the mesh, the Q-35 changes the texture, the unique service rifle, etc. So it may seem a little strange, but it was intended that way in vanilla New Vegas.

Alright, in NV there are quite a few uniques where the magazine is changed to match the unique, so we are going to keep the magazines as they are.

To me it sticks out more that it's NOT like on all the others. I don't recall that any of the NV uniques change the texture of the energy ammo, because it's all interchangeable stuff. I have no problem with guns having unique mags, because that IS done, though you'd need a lot of them! Suspension of disbelief lets us get around that though, but the energy ammo should all be standard.

I'll keep the textures on stand by for now and change it if it's eventually decided otherwise. I believe the energy cell on the Q-35 is different, is it not? Nothing is released yet anyway. The cell on the other energy weapons shouldn't be different; the Metal Blaster is probably going to be the most different EW as it's fully rusted.
