Adding Selectable Traits

So, I am trying to add a perk to the list of traits selected at the beginning of the game. Specifically, I am trying to add Hematophage(the Family's quest perk) as a trait. I go into the GECK, select the perk, and check the "trait" and "playable" boxes. The trait is still not selectable in game, I am assuming there is some list i must add it to.

I'm not a modder, but I;d recommend taking a look at the more perks mod and doing a little reverse engineering to see if your missing anything.

Upload your mod and maybe someone can figure it out. I imagine it has requirements that your test character do not meet (maybe you forgot to clear requirements). Maybe it has a level requirement on accident. Could be any number of things.
