I haven't installed any mods for New Vegas yet, because I'm planning out which mods to get. The only mod I know I'm getting for sure is TOTW. Other mods I am looking at are Nevada Skies, Project Nevada, Weapon Mods Expanded, Active Wasteland, and Real Time Settler. Can anyone give me an idea of mod compatibility? Are there any other mods that you recommend? I'm also looking for a mod that allows the operation of vehicles, especially aircraft. If anyone could give me a mod that works with TOTW for that, you would be my hero.

Thank you. I'm just getting in to PC gaming (I have FO3 and NV for Xbox and am switching over) So mods and modding is a whole new area for me.

More like hell. Any modder can tell you, we spend more time looking at mods, experimenting with mods, making mods and configuring mods than actually playing the games.

True, but it is at times more fun. Once you start adding mods, the insanity never stops. That said, I cant even think about playing FO3/FNV un-modded now.
A couple I like: AWOP (NV and DC versions), TTW Interiors (awesome!), IWS (for NV) and MMM Increased Spawns (for DC), most everything else is fun to have around for a bit, but these ones tend to stay - along with PN and (obviously) TTW itself. That reminds me, you will want CASM, the Weapon Mod Menu (honestly, why was this not part of the original game?), and Mod Configuration Menu. They make things a ton easier.
Another mods that I am liking a lot lately is Realistic Weapon Damage. Makes combat a LOT harder.

It's been a long time since I installed these mods so I may not be much help with troubleshooting. This site has NV Skies which seems to be fine but I've only got a few hours with it. WMX Ultimate works fine, I use The Weapon Mod Menu with it.
Real Time Settler, the NV versioin, is awesome. If you use Vurts Flora then some of the trees are blue-printable so you can play 'Jonny Appleseed' in the CW. Or for better RPing, Farming Bob will let you grow tress and plants.
