Companion Inventory Problem

Working on a companion mod, another one. He has issues in game from time to time.


In the geck, sometimes he wears what's in his inventory, as he should, and other times he isn't. Not a big deal, the geck has issues like that. Playing the game, the companion will have both of his weapons, a ranged and a melee weapon, and can use both. He isn't wearing his clothes though. He walks, runs, moves, fights, but part of him is stretched all the way to some distant place.


My temporary solution is to just move him ever so slightly in the geck, that seems to solve the problem and he'll wear his clothes and act like he should.  Does anyone know what causes him to stretch and not wear his clothes? Anything I can do? If I am going to release this mod, it'll need to work for everyone.

I don't know how to fix it but I was just curious if this was what you were experiencing?

The stretch looks pretty much like a skeleton problem. Any mods installed that change the default skeleton (Bouncing Breasts for example in some body replacers, yes they influence male's too btw. both sexes use the same skeleton)?

It isn't using any skeleton

It isn't using any skeleton mods or things that would change the skeleton, but yes, it looks exactly like that, except it's just one spot

I've seen problems similar to that with modded armor meshes too - for example Type 3 leather gloves and a finger will stretch out for yards. But never on a male. Strange. Male/Female do use the same skeleton. If you have a modded skeleton it would be under Data\Meshes\Characters\_male\


If it's there, try removing it.
