Geck Scripting Pro

Post by rbroab » Mon Apr 08, 2013 8:27 am

I've been working on a companion for TTW. I've done most of the work. To my knowledge, he waits, follows, opens container, aggressive, passive. Works with the companion wheel.

I've given him his dialog, haven't worried about voice clips yet.

I need help from an experienced scripter (is that a word?), or someone who's made an advanced companion before.

It's the little details and things. Also someone to go over my work. Please help me make my dream come true of releasing a good mod, and one people can use with TTW.

I'm not alright, I'm an equal amount of left.

I have never built a companion, but if I were going to, I'd pick someone else's companion mod and look at it in FNVedit or the GECK to see how they did things.

You can also use the NCCS and GECK powerup to build companions.  It is very well documented: http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/38059

If you want to build one from scratch, there are several tutorials out there, like this one:

And some info on using the companion wheel here:

Thanks thermador. I've already got him built, which is where most tutorials end unfortunately. I need someone with some expertise. I'll look around so more though. If I can't find anyone, I'll have to wing it. Trial and error.

It depends what you need. I am pretty busy atm. but if it is nothing too complicated (time consuming) maybe I can help out.
