DarnifiedUI

Post by rbroab » Tue Apr 09, 2013 4:40 pm

Some people may already know, my mod folder containing hundreds of mods has been deleted. Not a huge deal, I wasn't using all of them. I just need to download as much as I can remember.

Some of these mods have been set to hidden or taken off of the nexus. DarnifiedUI being the former. If someone could upload that for me, it'd be most appreciated.

My fault, the website wont let me update .fomod files, so I changed its extension. Changing it back to .fomod after downloading should fix it.

Post by alegendv1 » Tue Apr 09, 2013 7:33 pm

Getting an error trying to use load that fomod into the package manager in FOMM, I'll attach the crashdump.txt file. Not sure what's happening... maybe I need to change some settings in FOMM?

So changing it to FOMOD did

Post by alegendv1 » Tue Apr 09, 2013 8:28 pm

So changing it to FOMOD did not fix my issue, but as I discussed with Jax over Steam, if you have issues with installing through FOMM Package Manager, open the file through 7zip, winrar, etc. and delete the info.xml. The info.xml DOES NOT affect the installation of DarnUI, but it does remove the description information you see after adding the file to FOMM.

Hope this is helpful.

Oh and @Gribbleshnibit8, assuming you see this post, the exception FOMM throws at me is this one: Fomm.PackageManager.fomod+fomodLoadException: Unexpected node type 'LastKnownVersion' in info.xml

Yes, that's because the NMM

Yes, that's because the NMM guys decided to fuck over back compat by changing the data stored in the info.xml, which means that when FOMM tries to read it it finds values it doesn't know what to do with and chokes because it was not designed to handle unknown values. Bad programming practice on all parts, but to be expected from FOMM since it was made by someone in their spare time for free.
