Advertitron sounds really good in both idea and pronunciation. ![]()
The inspiration for the Advertitron came from StarletHologram (see this thread a bit above). It is a slightly different version (I made my own screen texture) as the Securitron from the NV TV-Spot and I thought I had to give him a more unique name ;). He isn't cut content. I only brought him in game from the TV-screen ;) .
The "Bald Guy" mentioned something that he is a "choosen one" but my character thinks he is simply a crazy tribal from Zion. :)
To be serious again. Yes he is a little FO2 reference and has some additional advantages which I won't reveal yet (and are also not completed yet ;) ).
I don't like how "Wild Wasteland" was implemented in the game (sound and message which tells me I have to laugh). So I won't make my encounters depended on the perk. If I make a totally crazy encounter which doesn't fit the lore or is absolutely over the top then maybe. But all of the ones I have planned out to date are lore friendly and fitting. No worry I don't have any plans for Aliens ;) .
Woo-Hooooo!!!!, you did it!![]()
. I love him already!. You're including the sound of the TV Spot I hope
. Can the clip start with "Fabulous las Vegas Nevada..." and finish a moment before "I was walking alone..." ?.
Yes I will use the sound clip without the music from the TV spot and also this one will contain a little surprise ;) .
Wow, I just read the entire list of these ideas, they are really great, and with Wild wasteland too this will make New Vegas amazing.
I was thinking...Can the Advertitron Mk1 have a custom texture or another color, so he can stand out of the Securitrons?.
. Since you gave him an original name, why not to give him also an original appearance?.
Looking at the TV spot: He is looking more metallic and doesn't have a blue paint. I see if I can emulate it. I will keep the rust if possible. He shouldn't be to clean imo.
Another good topic gone quiet
No worry. I have a lot on my plate so I switch a bit between projects. Yesterday I've gone through all encounters I already made (many of them not shown) :) . And tomorrow I start to add more.
The problem with this mod is that I have to reach a specific amount of encounters so it doesn't feel repetitive when played. But I am near that goal. I have 14 of them done and they have in sum 31 variations atm. Another 10 unique ones (without variations) are already started and have to be fleshed out and tested. When they are ready I start placing the triggers in the Wasteland (the easiest task :) ) and I can start with the testing phase.
