Photoshop .dds Plug-in

Can anyone point me to a really good tutorial on using the Photoshop .dds Plug-in? I have always just used GIMP for .dds conversions because I only had Photoshop on my mac. I recently upgraded my photoshop to Adobe's subscription based system and, now have access to the PC version and the .dds plug-in.

I've tried to mess around with it but, haven't had much luck with it yet. A really good tutorial would be helpful.

I don't know about a tutorial for it, but I edit Fallout's .dds files in Photoshop... You just put the .dds plugin file in the Plug-in folder located under C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS_\Plug-ins. (This didn't work for mine for some reason, I just dropped it in the main folder) Then when you want to edit a file, start up Photoshop and drag the .dds in, or right click on the file and click "Open with..." and choose Photoshop.
