TTWInteriors DC Gambling

Post by chucksteel » Mon Mar 11, 2013 7:05 pm

Well I've ben kicking this idea around for a few days and, was thinking about adding gambling to Moriarty's Saloon. Looking at the cell now and, I can see some slot machines on the 2nd floor balcony but, there is no real good place for Black Jack and Roulette tables.

I was thinking of expanding a room in the back or adding a basement for the tables.

Any thoughts on the subject? If I do the interior work would someone be willing to add the casino quests? I don't know I'll have the time to do that myself but, I could build the interior update in a short time.

This would be a mod and, not an official TTW thing.

I'm looking into using the broke Slot machines for Moriartie's saloon. I'll likely do this even if I can't enlist some help on the quest but, it will take a lot longer because it's just a side project.

Sure I will help if you want to. We need working gambling for FO1TS in Junktown too. So making the setup has a double advantage.

Actually, I could see this in vanilla TTW if done properly. There isn't really a whole lot of gambling in DC (closest is Atlantic City) so make the tables look homemade, or even just use basic tables. Make the cards look like standard hoyle playing cards that can be found anywhere in the world. Roulette isn't TOO farfetched (roulette wheels can be purchased for private use). Slot machines may be a stretch. Thoughts?

I think gambling can be perfect leisure for mister tenpenny and his gay residents, apt to their hotel atmosphere. Slot machine for Saloon also fits too. At least either one place must to be nucleared; so gambling for both places get my two cents.

(Second thought; this might be craziest and animations cannot be supported, but LittleLamplighter are also suitable due to their community dependency on entertainment)

Looks great laugh I do agree that the DC ruins should have some gambling (but of course not as much as NV). Although in my opinion (and no one talked about it yet) caravan should only be available in NV since it seems like a "home made" game that only goes around those area.

I concur, caravan should remain an NV game, no doubt.

I think if there is going to be gambling in Moriartie's Saloon it should be cap based and, not chip based. and, the odds should be stacked in the houses favor. (If Possible) i see Moriartie as a cheat and, would have the deck stacked in his favor.

For now I'm going to build the slot machines and, tables and, we can go from there with ideas.
