One of the things that I like the most about the DLCs is that they add new and interesting things to the game. The quests for the most part are good, showing a new perspective and story. Transplanting those into the main game is possible, and there are modders working on that *kudos*. One thing that I find would be really cool though is to include items/enemies from the DLCs into the TTW game.


[url=http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/47880/?]this[/url] mod does a great job when it comes to weapons from new vegas dlcs. But I would like to see it taken a step further, as is it mostly addresses only new vegas.


Here is a list of items/enemies from DLCs that I think could make an appearance in either wasteland, and if so where. I'm not listing weapons, since I would like to see all weapons, perhaps excluding alien weapons from mothership zeta.


Chinese stealth armor (Operation Anchorage) in the chinese remnants around DC.


Raider armors (The Pitt) added to raiders, fiends, and other "raider" npcs across both wastelands


Factory protectrons (The Pitt) I particularly like their desing and think they would look better than normal protectrons in several factories.


Broken steel enemies added to the mojave wasteland


Workman coveralls (point lookout) as randomized wastelander armor


Fishing poles (point lookout) as random trash, where it might make sense


Moonshine (point lookout) it makes sense at least in the mojave


Nuka Colas Quantum, Victory and Quartz in both wastelands


Medical & Repair Eyebots (lonesome road) added to the enclave in the capital wasteland


MRE (lonesome road) in several military bases along both games


Giant Cazador (honest hearts) wherever cazador can be found once a certain level is reached


Green Gecko (honest hearts) in greener areas, such as Oasis, speaking of which...


Spore plants (New vegas) in Oasis


Nightkins (new vegas) in the capital wasteland ruins, some members of the master army could have ended joining the vault 87 super muties.


I don't know how easy or difficult this is, but I hope I picked your interest guys. Let me know if you need more ideas :D

These are good suggestions. They will have to be tempered if, say you wanted to see any of them included in an optional plugin for TTW with the main download in the future. (Like, for instance anything which adds or modifies content in Vegas, which isn't Kosher.)


Realizing, of course that asking someone else to do all of the hard work of implementing them isn't going to be received with gushing enthusiasm and thanks.

The problem for not doing it myself is my lack of skill. I will probably try to do it, but I will be stumbling all they way, and I don't really know how hard/easy it is, as I have no experience in modding.


Personally I'm in favor of things being optional, thus each person can pick and choose the options that adjust best to what they intend to play.


From what I have gathered, adding items to the leveled lists should sort the adding items to npcs part. Shouldn't it? How could I, or anyone willing to help, work on adding actual enemies? I don't know how this works so maybe I'm saying something stupid, but could we use the game tool to make albino radscorpions appear in DC work wherever there are radscorpions and not only in DC? And if that is the case can we do something similar but changing "albino radscorpions" with "giant cazador" and "radscorpion" with "cazador"? I guess the nuka things would be adding nuka quantum to the list of items from the vending machines of nv and quartz and victory to the items of the vending machines of dc, correct? The other things would probably be too hard, or I don't have an idea of how to approach them.


Since we are talking about this, any idea of things that should be integrated across wastelands?

1) Moonshine is already in the Mojave.


2) I don't get why Quantum would be in the Mojave since it's stated that it was only being test run at a few DC area supermarkets right before the bombs dropped.


3) I am pretty sure it's stated that Nuka Cola Victory and Quartz were exclusive to the Midwest in an attempt to compete with Sunset Sarsaparilla.


4) What kind of broken steel enemies do you think would fit in the Mojave ? Reavers are already there, and I don't think East Coast enclave would make sense in the Mojave.


5) Maybe a single tiny green gecko in Oasis would make sense as like a pet for one of the people or something.


6) The rest seem pretty reasonable and make sense but those few I mentioned don't make much sense to me.

2 & 3) I'm aware of both of those explanations, I don't know how to justify that I guess it is just me wanting to have more nuka's available :P


4) I was thinking more of albino radscorpions and supermutant overlords

The rational behind creating separate cross-content threads is to keep everyone organized and on-topic, so that we don't have a gazillion different threads addressing the same thing(s). You owe it to yourself to read over these threads because in all likelihood someone else has already suggested something you've thought of and it's already been discussed. You'll probably get more ideas reading over what other people have brought up too. If not, great, we'd prefer it if users continued to post in these threads so that everyone's ideas are easy to find and in one place. 


Or you can just call this thread 'Spanta's Idea Thread.'
