Chimera tank plus sherman m4a4 mesh and texture would be amazing; replacing the lazer beams with shells, and replacing the sounds and such. just an idea. two mods linked below.

Don't chimeras move side to side? And I'm pretty sure they don't have the same wheel animation as the m4 would require. Sorry to squash your dreams :(

well, chimeras are mounted on giant screws, so they wouldn't have any movement anis in common.


perms:  either a full fireworks display spelling out "Puppettron Made This" anytime a user accesses my content in-game, or just give me credit somewhere.

In the comments of the tank mod people suggest using it with XRE car mod, I think i remember that XRE car mod wasn't very well made or compatible or something, but if anyone is interested:

Yeah, the Chimera does not have equal movement as the M4.  However, I wouldn't mind a TTW converted Chimera.  I converted it with the script, everything works but movement which of course means, it needs GECK manipulation to fix it.  Once fixed, it could be used in both wastelands.


 


EDIT:  With Roy Batty's Tutorial and a suggestion from TJ, I have a working Chimera for TTW.  Need to play with it a little to make sure everything works.  It's over powered for standard use because it's a tank but if you want a vehicle in CW or feel like taking out some frustration, it is perfect.  As for what the OP wants, that is currently beyond my skills and actually requires more time than I have.

It is possible. In fact it's something I plan on trying for a personal mod I have been developing.


Steps, top to bottom:


If I were to have a tank mesh converted to XRE...


I could make the tank a reference


then make a script requiring the player to have a companion available and if left mouse click is pressed


it will then toggle a (insert tank reference here).fireweapon (missile launcher for example) from a ##ProjectileNode placed on the end of the tank's turret's barrel.


then play a reloading sound and make the player wait until a timer is up.

@Precise_as_Pins - If you can pull it off, that will be nice, and I will be an instant fan.  Normally, the only XRE vehicle that shoots is the Vertibird.
