Couriers actual stash.

Post by EnderDragonFire » Fri Oct 17, 2014 4:02 am

Could somebody make a mod that moves the couriers stash items to an actual stash in Goodpsrings or Primm? I feel like that is what the developers intended, a secret cache of items that you have hidden in case of emergency. But I doubt that you hid it in Doc Mitchell's house, or outside of Vault 101. The only mods i have seen either :

A. Disable getting the items

or

B. Give them to people who are not the courier

The closest mod I have seen is --> HERE

But I would prefer the items be somewhere more immersive. I would greatly appreciate a mod like this, if anyone has the time to make it. (If you do make it, please don't make TTW a requirement, I am currently playing through an unstable quest mod called Rockwell Decent, which does not like TTW)

If  you detail exactly where you want them, it should be doable. I'm not volunteering, but I'm not saying I won't do it either.

Well, the Yangtze memorial

I think that a box outside the Mojave Express office would work best. Forces you to struggle a little in the early game. Right behind the building, perhaps?

solidsirhc was working on some nice lore versions of the stash packs for new vegas, but he only finished two of the four packs. It's a shame because they were nicely done and I was looking forward to the combined version.

I know about those, and they are nicer than what Jsawyer or other mods do, but not exactly what I want. I would prefer for them to be added in a smaller way, all in one place.

My take on this one would be to place a box for each stash pack in a somewhat appropriate location.

Examples,

  • Mercenary Pack, in a box in Primm, just outside of the Mojave Express office.

  • Tribal Pack, somewhere in Honest Hearts,

  • Caravan Pack, hidden in or around Crimson Caravan,

  • Classic Pack, hidden in or, around Vault 3 or Vault 22,

Possibly needing to find a note or something to activate them as they would no longer be the Couriors stash but the stash of some poor dead NPC.

Just an idea.

Hmmmm, maybe add a note and/or quest to the player for each stash "reminding" them of where it was hidden and what was in it?

This could also work with TTW

This could also work with TTW Stash Pack Options too. The player would only get the note or quest for the Packs they activate giving a scene of choice to the player.

Ha Tricky very funny. I agree with chuck's ideas and general placement, but I feel that they should, as Jax suggested, be stashes that you left somewhere before getting shot, rather than someone else's stuff.
