I feel that they should, as Jax suggested, be stashes that you left somewhere before getting shot, rather than someone else's stuff.

I can agree with that idea too! I just didn't think of it and wasn't thinking about LR and the back story of what happened before the game started.

It has been nine years after all, at least a few of them were spent as a courier in the Mojave and NCR. Pip-boy notes are not necessary though, it is not like you were expecting to become amnesiac.

I have a bit of G.E.C.K knowledge, might attempt to make this myself. If I succeeded, I will be sure to post it here.

No, you do not lose all the stuff in vanilla TTW when doing the train ride, there was some mods around here that did that or something similar to that, I don't know if they work with the latest TTW or not, but might be worth looking at them.

i think i remember it. i was just thinking that by the time you make it to NV, in natural game play starting in DC, the usage of much of the stash pack becomes pointless. most of the stuff you gather in dc exceeds the power of the stuff in the stash pack. i really like this idea but, from my perspective it is more useful and makes more sense if you've lost everything at the start of NV and cant pick the doc's house clean. ;)

I don;t know, the Sturdy Caravan Shotgun is one of the best in the game, dps wise. The other stuff is mostly rubbish, with possible exception for the canteen.
