MOD RQ

Post by Dionysus » Tue Jan 14, 2014 1:30 pm

Hey all, Just a quick one for some one who likes a bit of a challenge, Integrate all the Weapons and Armour from NV FO3 DLC's into  lvled lists and world space.  NV need rocket men too :D and mini canons.

All Armour enchants overhauled so dlc enchants are integrated to other Armour sets making more choice of functional Armour.

Looting overhaul so you only can loot some items not all of npc

If one were to think about

If one were to think about integrating some of the weapons/armors from the DLCs into the worldspace, it would have to be somewhat methodical, and take a few opinions to each on how, why, where, when (and other similiar questions perhaps?) for each item to be there.

Like take for example the .45 pistol. What reasons do we have for it being in the Capital Wasteland, how would that be integrated, why, where would it be placed, and when might we see it? I would say that if it were to be placed in DC, it would be there to diversify the weapon variety in the world, to give another optional caliber, and to provide some consistency for the world. What reason would there not be for the .45 to not be there?

Other questions I assume would likely ensue, but then comes the question of why it shouldn't be. Now one reason might be that it should be a thing consistent with the area it was experienced in, that it was meant to be for that area, and maybe other things come into play. Maybe its a question of balance, maybe its a thing that some DLC guns don't belong there for other reasons, things like maybe the LAER, the Sonic Emitter, the Red Glare.

Don't know whether to consider it in the scope of TTW to have it, but it sure as hell could make an interesting companion mod to integrate some or more of the common weaponry from each game into the other on the DLC side instead of just the vanilla weapons.

I can see were you are coming

I can see were you are coming from and yea it would need be thought out some but just no need over think it. USA is at war on the home front. Resources are limited, i bet you bottom dollar that they have arms and lots of them to protect family and property. Also cash piles to take the property and kill the family in the way.

45 Iconic weapon should be available in DC even if a scripted limited amount there was a war afterall, and gunrunners are not as well known as in nv so prices are probably allot more.

If there was a revamp of levled lists, i did mean all weapons from all dlc and  FO3 NV vanilla, and integrated properly meaning some weapons may need stat altering to make it less over powered or balance reasons. Plenty of mods add new weapons to game and go in lvled lists i just think there are alot of vanilla weapons that are good weapons but become useless to fast as by time you get them you got something better already.

If the Armour were to be sorted out with enchants applied and DT balancing more weapons more choice and better selection of weapons can only enhance the game experience. Im using a service rifle at moment they drop very rare and are same stats as assault rifle apart i can apply 2 mods and it also auto. its A M16 lol say no more it need be in dc.

Im also thinking you cant loot everything from body, only some items. That make buying the items from shops harder and getting the new items harder too. At the moment if i need cash i go kill talon hit squad get ton caps for there gear, This way would stop that give more choice and give satisfaction when you get a good drop.

So integration if done as a whole with the restrictions new Armour would make the adventure a little more diverse and allot more styles for dif looks and story plays.

What's interesting about the

What's interesting about the .45 pistol is that the gun was perhaps emphasized to be more of the device centered more around Utah/New Canaan, and only after trading is sort of re-opened with them does the Mojave get access to them(that and maybe an embellishment done for gameplay purposes).

And while on the topic of the Service Rifle, I do believe it actually a bit more per shot than the Assault Rifle, and some entry in the Pentagon points out that the M series of Rifles was being replaced on the military side in favor of the R91, the Assault Rifle, and that the M series was being used by the national guard I think.

I get 45 for selling dlc

Post by Dionysus » Tue Jan 14, 2014 11:35 pm

I get 45 for selling dlc purpose did that but really i use it from when i find it and it isn't over powered some times 2 clips to down a sm. The service rifle i altered to make it on par with assault rifle Chinese rifle is a little better penetrating, but the Service with spring mod slightly faster  had 9mm when left vault so was nice to upgrade as mr Burks 10mm is available at start and has a silencer making it a very powerful gun.
