Im the kind of person that likes to make a lot of characters, and going through the being born thing every time is tiring.

Have you ever thought of keeping a permanent save right before exiting the vault ? Because you can always edit your character right at the door.

Good for you.

Here's what you do. Go thought the tiresome being born thing once. When you get to the vault door (right before going outside) save your game. Better yet: press tilde and type save Quickstart.

Actually makes the game a save for you at the outer vault door for you automatically. So you actually don't need to make an extra save the game does it for you.
