one of those disturbing trends you see on nexus, alongside "professional" and "scratch-built", is the proliferation of modern and post-modern firearms. klashnikovs, fns, things like that, while cool, are everywhere you look and even places you didn't look. but part of the theme and setting of NV is the wild west aesthetic, but that's just as sparse as everything else in the game.
and sure, while trying to simplify the world into a game system, you end up rolling things into small clumps of workable things, so we didn't get the huge range of firearms that we could've had, but we can mod.
so, what i'm thinking is stuff like the http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Colt_revolving_rifle, the lemat grapeshot revolver (it's cool if you can't get the 20g secondary barrel work, i don't know if anyone could), colt walker and dragoon revolvers, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sharps_Rifle... and those are just the well-known weapons of the time. the latter half of the 19th century was kind of a free-for all for firearms, since innovations were happening quickly and standardization was something only used for military arms, calibers and mechanisms and actions ranged all over the place.
so yeah, if we could get some more cowboy guns, that'd be sweet
