Would someone mind converting this to TTW? i find Amata to be an amazing Companion with cool quests that make her a bad*** companion.

Search, or look in the "Mod
Search, or look in the "Mod Releases Forum" for mods that have already been converted.
I already converted the Amata companion mod, it's here: http://www.taleoftwowastelands.com/content/amata-follower-ported-ttw

Re: Amata Companion
I know that this thread is long dead but would it be possible for someone to link me to a mediafire download for this mod. I tried using the link in the thread but it says that I don't have authorization. I really want to use this mod because I mostly use TTW to play fallout 3 because I cannot get regular fallout 3 to work on my machine. I tried porting the mod over to new vegas myself but that didn't work.

Re: Amata Companion
Not authorize because it was hidden on purpose as 2.9.4 mods are not supported. There used to be another similar mod called "Ties that Bind" ( viewtopic.php?t=6720 ) but it seems to be currently hidden/remove/updating in progress (?) on nexus by Zenreich. Maybe due to the functional but broken state the mod was in.Baba_Yaga123 wrote: ↑Wed Jul 03, 2019 9:29 pmI know that this thread is long dead but would it be possible for someone to link me to a mediafire download for this mod. As for the amata companion mod, you can wait for people to convert it, convert it yourself using roy's conversion script & guidelines tips viewtopic.php?f=55&t=6525, googlefu the 2.9.4 version and use it with TTW 3.2 with problems or use it with the lesser TTW 2.9.4.

Re: Amata Companion
Just FYI simply running the conversion scripts won't do it. You have to actually go in and fix all the scripts and dialogue. Even the 2.9.4 conversion didn't work right on 2.9.4. That mod needs a lot of work to convert it. Same with Sydney, Lucy West, and Bittercup if anyone has similar ideas for those mods.

Yup it is alot of work which was why not many people wanted to do/learn themselves. At least there's a conversion script to start with. I have converted a few fo3 mods without permission for self usage, so I know how tedious and annoying the whole process can be but it is much better than waiting all the time for someone to convert my favorite mods. There is fun in comparing self converted mods vs official converted ones later but that is just me

Re: Amata Companion
It really does take time. A lot of the people who post in the 2.9.4 thread, asking for access, seem to think they can just run the scripts and it'll do everything for them.
I've been working over 2 years on expanding out a package of all of GrigoriPrime's companions. It took me a solid month of work in my spare time to update it and make sure it was good for TTW 3.x. When that was finally over I could go back to chopping up audio files to piece together voices for new quests I had finished.
(and for anyone reading this that package will NEVER be made public so don't bother asking.)

Re: Amata Companion
What kind of problems would I experience, as long as the problems aren't anything completely game breaking I can learn to live with. And where can I find a download for the port and ttw 2.9.4?UsagiPyon wrote: ↑Thu Jul 04, 2019 8:29 amNot authorize because it was hidden on purpose as 2.9.4 mods are not supported. Re: Amata Companion
Well, they could also just want to have access to their 2.9.4 favorite/waifu/XXX mods to be used with TTW 2.9.4 (because it is easier?) since 3.2 have made several mods invalid and made authors go ballistic.Lyndi wrote: ↑Thu Jul 04, 2019 9:33 pmIt really does take time. I just pick my favorite F03 mods that I like, use whatever version that was left on nexus with the conversion script and start rebuilding it for myself. The fixing of bugs and oversights to make it work with TTW can be both fun and agony but that's part of the charm. Modding duration > Actual in game duration
I shall be lazy too _(:3」∠)_ & just give a vague answer - some functions may or may not be functional and some quest may or may not be broken. It is unethical to provide a link for any 2.9.4 download and I do not want to be any part of it.Baba_Yaga123 wrote: ↑Thu Jul 04, 2019 10:16 pmWhat kind of problems would I experience, as long as the problems aren't anything completely game breaking I can learn to live with.
