Reloading Items in CW Vendor Inventory Mod Request

Post by daStig177 » Wed May 07, 2014 4:09 am

Okay, before any of you tell me to do this myself, I have already tried adding it into the level lists, yet it still doesn't work.

Anyhow, what I'm looking for (and I'm sure many others are too) is a mod that incorporates the reloading ingredients into the vendors of the capitol Wasteland, especially since there are reloading benches in the CW.  By no means would all of them have the items of course; the people who would make the most sense carrying them would be weapons exclusive dealers such as Lucky Harith or Flak and Shrapnel.  But anyhow, that's pretty much it for the request.

Note: I'm really busy and will be for a few weeks, so I honestly don't have the time to make the mod even if I knew how to.

They should already carry

They should already carry that stuff, but it is rare. Fixing this is on the To-Do list for TTW (the merchants in general need a bit more love).

Good to hear, glad that it

Post by daStig177 » Wed May 07, 2014 4:18 am

Good to hear, glad that it at least exists in the Capital Wasteland so my purchase of a reloading bench wasn't a total waste.

Is there a certain level when they start showing up in the vendor inventories?  I am running the JE Sawyer mod, so level progress is very much decreased on top of the level progress hindering mod for TTW that I have enabled.  I believe at the moment I am level 15.

They are not leveled. Taking

They are not leveled. Taking the hand loader perk is also really useful, but it doesn't solve this particular problem.

I had that in mind for this

I had that in mind for this playthrough.  Once again, glad to hear it's being worked on.  I'm pretty satisfied with this mod even as an Alpha.  I don't get a whole lot of issues, and if I do get them I can fix them more often that not.  Keep up the good work!

You could try this mod (http://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/35378/?).  It adds the chance of finding primers, powder, etc to any container where you might find ammo.

Good mod. Really helps keep you in ammo without being over powered.
Always bring a companion or two that is slower than you.
Because you don't need to out run a Deathclaw.
You just need to out run your companions (Just bring a lot of companions in case the Deathclaw is really hungry!).

It wasn't really a waste to

Post by chaosislife » Tue May 27, 2014 12:34 am

It wasn't really a waste to begin with as most of the time you'll get your powder and primers by breaking down other less than useful ammo. I'm kinda thinking of doing a conversion kit to convert your cases into other cases, but I'm not sure how that would work since brass isn't really all that melty. One of the things that annoyed me about FO3 was that I'd wind up with a crapton of 5mm rounds, but the only thing that fired them was miniguns, which are a pain to lug around. Plus I'm more into stealthy one shot kills than just soaking an area with lead.
