ATHENA power armor and HERMES combat armor

Post by falloutmaster » Sun Apr 28, 2013 6:55 am

In van buren ATHENA was a power armor above and beyond all power war power armors. HERMES combat armor was a combat armor with the light weight of combat armor with the protection of power armor like T-51B. Disappointingy neither were ever in newvegas or in its dlc old world blues the perfect dlc for van buren inspired stuff, in canon its possibly lost technogly like the MPLX Novasurge plasma pistol prototype found in mother ship zeta my request is simple create these and add these in game to big MT.

Are you asking for some power

Post by rbroab » Sun Apr 28, 2013 6:58 am

Are you asking for some power armor retextures with new features, or are you asking someone to whip up to entire new armors with features and put them in game?

I'm not alright, I'm an equal amount of left.

Something unique for ATHENA I

Something unique for ATHENA I suspect maybe the riot gear given that its on par with T-45d so it was one stage away from development, in van buren originally you would be able to craft it i believe

A "7" is painted on the left

A "7" is painted on the left side of the helmet. The front of the armor features a neck piece with "08" on it. A star and bear can be seen on the left shoulder pad, which is affiliated with the New California Republic flag. There is also what appears to be tallies on the side of the helmet, near the "[7]". "H3RM35" can be seen on the antenna which is a leetspeak for "Hermes", a reference to Hermes, an armor development project from the canceled game Van Buren.

This is from the Fallout wikia. So the Hermes Combat Armor is more or less the Riot armor (NCR Ranger Combat Armor).

Athena Power Armor has no reference as far as I know in New Vegas.

Post by falloutmaster » Sun Apr 28, 2013 8:09 pm

I know but thats a reference not true Hermes true hermes would have that weight but be on par with the armor and helmet of T-51b armor, Athena power armor was never even mentioned in newvegas but both armors could have been shown in big mountain

Why not just take that armor

Post by TJ » Sun Apr 28, 2013 8:47 pm

Why not just take that armor and give a DT equal to T-51b? This is essentially what you're asking for isn't it?

Well maybe have a version

Post by falloutmaster » Sun Apr 28, 2013 9:17 pm

Well maybe have a version that's not in a trench coat that has a small Poseidon energy logo on the breast plate and stuff like that. something that makes in enlcave perhaps a black armor look to it or something

Sounds like a great opportunity to teach yourself how to mod! Texture edits/replacers are pretty easy if you have access to the internet. Lots of tutorials for image manipulation.
