I have no idea what I'm doing when it comes to modding, so I'm posting this in the hopes that someone agrees with this, or has another suggestion.

The YCS/186 is the unique variant of the Gauss rifle in FNV and is carried by a nameless merc in the northern Mojave. But if you have the Wild Wasteland Trait, the mercenary group (and the unique weapon) are replaced by aliens. In a standard FNV game, this gives you access to the alien blaster, but you can get the alien blaster in D.C. without wild wasteland, making it redundant.
So my suggestion (to ensure that nothing unique is lost by taking the wild wasteland trait) is changing said mercenary to have a standard Gauss rifle and replacing the Gauss rifle reward for completing Op. Anchorage to the YCS/186.
