I've been searching the nexus for mods that help with the textures and graphics to give a more realistic, high quality look to both games. Perticularly FO3, which in my opinion has the best graphics of the two games by default. So far i've found the NMC texture pack which adds some really nice high def life like textures to the game. Then there's project reality, the fo3 version being the better of the two i think. I've been settling for the NV version instead, because the FO3 one for some reason creates that annoying mid afternoon eclipse that plagued RFCW, while the Vegas version doesn't. Then i've been using the Next generation enb for Fallout 3. The Blackout enb was pretty nice too, but seemed to create a sometimes heavy fps hit. If anybody knows of any other mods that can add to the graphics quality of the game or any effective ini tweaks that really do work, but won't kill your computer, i'd love to know about them. I've also been looking for any related mods that fix up the player. Ie face or head correction, skit correction or improvement. Things like that. Have project beauty already.

only the High-density starfield works, as there is no galaxy in Fallout.
looks awesome!
also turing up the LOD for trees and building has zero performance impact on my setup
in your fallout_prefs.ini (my documents/mygames/falloutnv) find the lines
fTreeLoadDistance=
fBlockLoadDistanceLow=
and set them both to 500000.0000
