Hey, I wanna know if someone can make a mod so that after you beat Mothership Zeta you can take the companions with you as permanent followers. They're already voiced, lip-synched and everything as followers, but I am a terrible modder XD. I am at the end of Mothership Zeta and I refuse to leave without Elliot!

That might actually be feasible. Does the companion wheel pop up when you talk to them? Are there any wheel commands that they don't have dialog voiced for?

I think the wheel did NOT come up for Paulson but it is for Elliot. They don't have dialog for most of the things since they were never true companions but they have so much recorded dialog I'm sure I could splice some stuff to make responses if that's what it takes *Edit* Also the wheel comes up for Somah... no idea why Paulson didn't have one

This is just an idea...
This is just an idea... looking at the Fallout wiki, it seems that most of Toshiro's lines are basically "I don't get what you're saying, do you have my sword?" SO, how about make him a companion, with a wheel, but he ignores what you say and basically just follows you and does whatever the f he wants? For this option I think you'd have to make his armor and his sword unplayable and you can access his inventory but you can only give him stuff to carry, or take your stuff back. And you can give him stimpacks, but his reply would be angry, as he wouldn't understand why you just stabbed him with a needle. Or maybe even use motions to tell him to move forward and back, to wait, and to follow.
Another idea is that we get rid of Somah's repair for caps after she's your follower. Instead have it at a workbench you can combine say 30 scrap metal, a hammer, 15 scrap electronics, 10 wonderglue, 10 duct tapes, a wrench, and a weapon repair kit, you make a Complete Weapon Repair Kit, which given to Somah gives her the ability to repair your equipped items once a day to 100%.
Then combine a bonesaw, forceps, scissors, 2 crutches, 5 med braces, a scalpel, surgical tubing, a pack of cigarettes, tweezers, 5 fixers, 30 stimpacks, and a wonderglue making a Complete First Aid Kit, which given to Elliot gives him the ability to heal your health to 100%, fix your limbs, remove your rads, and temperarily get rid of your addiction twice a day.
Lastly combine 10 of all bullet cases and hull, 10,000 of each powder, 10 of each primer and make a Complete Hand Loading Kit, given to Paulson allows him to give you some ammo of your choice once a day.

I'd be interested in seeing
I'd be interested in seeing how you guys do the cut work for the voices. I have attempted to redo the Two Bears High Fiving Companion mod so that it works a little better (better dialog options, companion wheel, AI tweaks, etc) but I ended up having to do him from scratch, and I hit a brick wall when it came to the original author's method of voice acting. He took existing tribal spoken dialog and spliced together pieces to make the voice acted responses Two bears gives. It's a great idea, and it worked well in the original version, but I need to learn how to do this in order to flesh out the additional dialog options I have added for the companion.
Come to think of it, something like this could be done for Toshiro, it just wouldn't translate correctly. It would still sound like Japanese to a non-speaker of the language, though.
