Sudden FPS issues

Post by aprildruid » Sun Feb 18, 2018 4:43 am

(Yet another issue I'm having, somehow I keep making more I swear)

So I've tried doing a fresh install, but it's still happening. I get at max 40 FPS, and I'm having a weird texture issue.

I'm not sure what's causing it, but along with the FPS drop it's making the game unplayable. I have no big background programs running, and even after a fresh install(of both games), I'm doing something wrong but I dunno what.

Both NV and 3, are the GOTY Steam edition.

OS: Win 10 Pro 64-Bit

CPU: Intel Core i5 4670K @ 3.40GHz

Ram: 8.00GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 532MHz FOMM 0.14.14

I'm using the Medium Texture pack, from NVSE.

If you have loads of unused

If you have loads of unused plugins in your data folder, move them out of it. Other than that, no idea, that kind of stuff usually only happens when you have too many plugins which you don't appear to have.

I don't know about the graphical problems, but for the performance, have you checked our performance guide?

Shouldn't be plugins, I totally wiped that folder with my clean reinstall.

Any idea on the graphic issue though? Game's pretty unplayable as a result of that.

Tried that, still only getting 30 to 40 FPS. And Some textures are still acting buggy. Like on the strip for example, some NPCs will have a transparent head, so I can only see the eyes and mouth. Until I get  in close.

Could it be an improper shader package is being used/ detected? Just kinda guessing here; check the "rendererinfo.txt" file to see which package and video driver it's using.

That could be the issue.

Edit: Looks like it was. Gonna try a smaller texture pack, see if that solves my FPS issue.

Yes, turn off "fixtransparencybugs" in the enblocal.ini I think it is.

Alright, it was an ENB issue

Post by aprildruid » Mon Feb 19, 2018 4:26 am

Alright, it was an ENB issue for the textures. However, I'm unable to get more than 40 FPS in game, but it'll usually hang around the 20s. Freeside is even worse, I get 2 FPS at max. I'm not sure what happened, but it worked fine before.

I have no idea what's causing my FPS drop, but it wasn't like this the other day.

NVSR probably. Turn off hookcriticalsections and hooklightcriticalsections.
