I've noticed that Beth games all slow way the hell down if you have "bad" skeletons for NPCs. This usually comes from using a custom skeleton, particularly with a body replacer. For example, the mod "The Skeleton" for New Vegas caused me nothing but grief until I replaced it. Slow downs, animation issues, you name it, it caused it.

NVSR probably. Turn off hookcriticalsections and hooklightcriticalsections.

Alright, tried that, the good news is, freeside isn't giving me 2 FPS anymore. The bad news is, it's still loading slowly, and I'm still getting pretty low FPS.

Is it possible it could be something like project beauty?

I don't have that - does it come with its own skeleton? If so, maybe. Like I said, the last time I ran into an issue was with The Skeleton. When I went back to the skeleton that came with T6M, eveything went back to normal. The only reason I knew to check that was I had run into a similar issue with Skyrim while setting up HDT.
