Ghost Plugins in NMM (Solved)

Post by IvoryOwl » Mon Oct 23, 2017 2:47 pm

First of all I apologize if this is the wrong section to post this kind of thing.

Here's my problem; a few months ago I decided to give TTW a try but after learning a big update was underway I thought it would be prudent to just wait for its release instead. I uninstalled FO3 and NV because I don't like my PC cluttered with games I don't play. Recently I discovered DUST and thought to give it a try while I waited but when I installed New Vegas and opened Nexus Mod Manager, lo and behold, I found all of TTW's plugins there including a merged patch. They're not active of course but I don't like to see them there on a clean install.

At first I thought Nexus had somehow kept the mods somewhere and went to its subfolders, hoping to find the culprit. But all folders related to FO3 / NV modding were non-existent. Thinking I missed something I uninstalled NMM and re-installed it again. Plugins still there. Now I'm left wondering what the heck am I supposed to do? I know the plugins may be harmless since they probably don't even exist anymore but... the fact they show up in NMM bothers me. How do I fix this?

I have both of my games on Steam (FO3 GOTY and F:NV Ultimate Edition).

Win 10 x64

Radeon 480

16 GB Ram

i5 3330 3.0

Hey, you're right, there were leftover plugins in the New Vegas folder! That's odd, I thought when I uninstalled the game Steam would take care of actually removing everything. Oh well, the mystery of the ghost plugins have been fixed but now my game crashes during start up. I'm not in the mood to try and see if I can fix it so I'll just delete the Data folder and force Steam to verify integrity.

Thanks again! Mods, you can close the thread if you so wish.
