In DC, Train Thinks I'm in the Mojave

Post by Fehgatron » Sun May 14, 2017 11:19 pm

So long story. I start off in DC like the recommended start, everything goes fine. I level up and chose the perk where you "Wake up with bags of caps with no pants". It basically just gives you caps and makes you spawn somewhere randomly. So I chose this perk in DC and wake up in the Mojave. Hurt, I try and go to Doc Mitchell's house to get health, and suddenly my character is laying down with Doc saying something about waking up. I can't move, and I found a thread that said it's a problem with the train, just go to DC and come back and it'll fix it.

I go to the train and can go to DC fine but when I try to make a return trip it says "This train leads do D.C. Tickets are one-way" yadda yadda.... And the only option is "Stay in the Mojave Wasteland" but I'm not even in the wasteland... Picking this option just closes the dialog box with nothing happening. I read this thread that says it's an issue with NVSE and to update to NVSE 5 Beta 2, but I was already on this version. I also tried updating to NVSE 5 beta 3.7, however, this didn't solve the problem.

Does anyone have a solution? Or even a work around, like a command to send me to New Vegas as if I did take the train?

That is because when that

That is because when that perk threw you into the Mojave it broke the game. The only reliable way to travel between the wastelands is by using the train always. The train ride sets some values so the game knows in which wasteland your character is, if this is skipped then the values are not set and the train ride gets broken.

The mod that adds that perk needs to fix that to work with TTW properly, otherwise that will always happen anytime a player picks that perk (unless they are in the Mojave wasteland while choosing the perk, I think).

I am not sure how to fix that, to be honest so I will wait for other team members to come by and see if they can help before I say something that might muck your game even more.
