cannot install

Trying to load TTW  I get ---  Checking for required files...

Your load order seems to be for Fallout 3. TTW is a Fallout New Vegas mod so it will not work on Fallout 3.

That Install guide is for really outdated versions of TTW (2.3.0) we're already in version 2.9.4b, the most recent install guide is in here:

I don't really know why you're having that problem but I can write a checklist of things TTW need to work, I don't know which ones of these you already tried so I will have to write them all:

For TTW to work you need to have Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas with all the DLCs for both games (with the exception of the Courier's Stash for FNV) patched to the latest official version (Fallout 3 GOTY and Fallout New Vegas Ultimate Edition are already patched).

Your games need to be the english versions, and can't be the censored no-gore versions even if they have the uncensored patch.

You need to have administrative rights of your computer, and you need to run the installer as an administrator.

Some antivirus, firewalls and other security software might prevent the installer from working (this might include windows UAC, firewall and defender).

TTW will not work with pirated games (or if one of the game is pirated while the other is not).

Using the latest version of FOMM - Fork is recommended.

It is recommended to have at least 30GB of spare hard drive disk.

Your Fallout 3 files shouldn't be set to "read only".
