I've spent all day trying to get New Vegas to work again, and have basically figured out that somehow this mod is causing it.
I got a clean game. And I tested every mod I had by installing it, and then booting up the game to see if it worked. Everything worked until I installed this. Despite the FAQ saying "No, it's not our mod". For some reason, the game keeps crashing before the menu.
And the thread the FAQ linked to didn't help either, because it assumes that I'm using darN, which I would never touch in a million years.

Is there something I'm doing wrong?
Edit: Ok, I feel kinda dumb. I delved into troubleshooting, but never got into explaining the problem at hand in detail.
The problem is that when I boot up the game (the exe, not a new game), it goes to the legal disclaimers, and just as it starts to fade to the screen that says "Bethesda Softworks", it freezes (although the music is still playing, and the task manager doesn't read it as "not responding").
Apologies for not being specific. I've just been working on this problem for a while.
