All music on Mojave radio stations is silent (only on Pipboy)

Both games downloaded from Steam


Lost my Install Log when reinstalling Windows, sorry.

All music on any Mojave related radio stations (Mojave Music, Radio New Vegas, Mysterious Broadcast) is silent. This effects only the Pipboy radio and music can be heard fine from radios placed in the worldspace. When using coc to go to DC, all radio stations work fine there. Voices on Sierra Madre broadcast, Happy Trails caravan, and Mr New Vegas are still able to be heard.


It should be noted that I chose to start in the Mojave using the optional Start Menu and haven't made it to the Capital Wateland yet, is it possible that there is a bug with the radio quests when deciding to start in the Mojave?

Well you have several problems in your load order for one thing.


Zan_AutoPurge_SmartAgro_NV.esp <- get rid of it, not compatible and will break your game.


Remove Strip Open if you are using the Uncut beta, it is included.


TTWFixes should be directly after TaleOfTwoWastelands, and NewVegasUncut directly after fixes.


RWL should be dead last in your load order.


You have no merge/bash patch.


What version of NVSE are you using? Hopefully the latest beta.

I had just installed the newest version of NVUncut off of the repository before making this post and hadn't finished fixing the load order. Anyway, that's fixed now. I also moved TTWFixes up higher and removed Zan's and The Strip Open. I was using NVSE 5.0b2, but have now updated to beta 3. 


I can create a merge patch for a lot of the smaller mods, anything in particular I should be merging though?


Also, I tested the game with the load order fixes and the radio problem still persists, although I didn't really expect it to help.

I did recently do a clean install of Windows 10, and the radio worked fine before that (different save and mods though) so I guess it could be a problem with the codecs. 


Any suggestions on how to fix it if it's a codec problem?

The codec pack at the top of the thread didn't help  so I uninstalled it, and the tool from the Nexus link doesn't work with Windows 10.


I don't believe it's a codec problem. If it was, wouldn't there be problems with playing the Fallout 3 radio music as well? Also, people reporting codec issues claim they couldn't hear the Main Menu theme or in-game background music which I have no problems hearing.

Did you COC or switch between wastelands without using the train or other properly-done transport mechanism? There are scripts which have to enable and disable the radio stations specific to each wasteland which don't trigger if you're just moving yourself and bypassing them.
