Nothing happening after Treeminder ceremony (Oasis)

Post by TheDudeDGAF » Wed May 25, 2016 11:47 pm

Hey all,

Im trying to do the Oasis quest line (for the first time!) but nothing happens after the Treeminder's ceremony. I drink the sap, the screen goes blurry, everyone says their lines, and then nothing happens. The game doesn't freeze as I can still move the camera around and pause the game but I'm unable to move with the blurred visuals and the Treeminders just staring at me. I've tried reloading an old save and using the console to push the quest forward but nothing gets me out of the ceremony. Here is my load order: http://pastebin.com/zDxgzmrr any help is appreciated!

This is my first time posting here so let me know if this is the wrong place or if anything needs to be edited. Been loving TTW so far and I'd love to meet Harold.

edit: I also tried the ttw_speedtreefix posted here even though my game wasn't crashing but it didn't help

You are using TTWRedesigned, ProjectBeauty.esm is not needed.

Momod is incompatible with TTW and will cause crashes and break other stuff.

pretty sure TTW FO3&NV&DLC Killable Children.esp is the culprit, it's been reported before.

Disabling killable children

Post by TheDudeDGAF » Fri May 27, 2016 12:18 am

Disabling killable children worked, thanks! And thanks for the other tips too :)

I have one more question that's more of an annoyance than anything. For some reason my scroll wheel is messed up in TTW. I Cant zoom in on the world/local maps (it will zoom in just a little bit and then zoom all the way out) and when I'm using a scope it will either zoom all the way in or all the way out. I didn't have this problem when I was playing just New Vegas (also heavily modded). The problem still occurs even if I disable all mods and start a new game. Any thoughts?

That's a new one, not heard of that issue before. Try disabling mouse acceleration in your ini.

By default it's not possible

By default it's not possible to toggle zoom magnifications when using scopes using the scroll wheel because by default, different magnifications don't exist.

If I remember right (while playing Skyrim) any changes to the map values data wise can result in weird map zooming. Though I don't think that's what's causing your issue. I'm actually seeing the same behavior zoom wise, except with POV. The scroll will stops moving me between 1st and 3rd person. It'll either stop working altogether, or will jump from 1st directly to 3rd. Nothing in between. I also have the Lazarus project installed along with a F04 style looting mod. My first impression is that there is a conflict between mods (probably even deeper like an NVSE plugin that does things "outside" of the game engine conflicting with another) that's causing the mouse scroll event to get "locked" to a specific mod, instead of being available to which ever one is requesting the event at the time. Or, the function isn't scanning the entire event-request chain to give all dll(s) asking for a specific even, said event. It just gives it to the first one in the list, then assumes that's it and moves on. That would allow the first function waiting for the event to receive it, while denying to to all succeeding ones (causing them to appear not to work).

It's like giving a key multiply assignments, pressing said key, then watching half a dozen things fire off at the same time. If the even handler that create "events" in the chain, or reads them, doesn't care about anything else afterwards, all other functions requiring it simply wont get the event and appear to not function.

For now I've disabled "Lazarus Project" to see if that's conflicting with FNV Loot which also uses the scroll wheel just when looting.
