Vigor Tester Menu Opens - Wont Close - Possible Mod Conflict

Post by darkjesusmn » Wed May 25, 2016 11:48 pm

Starting the NV section of TTW using the train. got threw the main section of the videos and woke in the docs home. proceeds to have me check my name and change my face. then asks me to go to the vigor tester.

this is where the game should skip the vigor tester but proceeds to open it and will not close.

ive loaded a save from before i left to nevada and came back to the same glitch.

ill upload my load oerder and mod list aswell as pc specs in a TXT doc attacched to this post aswell as the TTW install logs

from looking at other posts it seems it could be a mod conflict. not sure what one but any help would be great

edit::: this is steam copies of each fo3 and NV

Some other mod is altering

Post by RoyBatty » Thu May 26, 2016 2:04 am

Some other mod is altering the startup quest (VCG00).

Load your mod order into FNVEdit and in the formid box put 104c1c, this will take you to the quest record and you can see what mod is overwriting it.

The only thing overrighting

Post by darkjesusmn » Thu May 26, 2016 5:54 am

The only thing overrighting the main FalloutNV.esm is the main TTW.esm and everything is either green or gray no red's for conflitc that i can see.

when i hit the reffranced by tab i see that the mods x-1, nukas and main TTW are affected by the tester trigger and tester scrips. ill see if disabling x1 and the nuka will help, ill report what happens in 10-30min from this comment

I think he means these two in his load order:

X-1_Tales_of_Wonder!.esp=1
nukas.esp=1

The tales of wonder should be the radio station and the nuka cola collector might be this:

Super late to the party on

Post by boct1584 » Thu Dec 01, 2016 11:03 pm

Super late to the party on this, but I just discovered that you can de-allocate SPECIAL points until you reach the standard new game threshold and the vigor tester can close out properly. In my case I had a ton to deallocate because I took Almost Perfect at 30, but then trying to remove it and re-add it didn't add the points back, so I had to fix it by adding and removing Intense Training a bunch of times. (Remoing it does not remove the SPECIAL point.)

Just leaving this here for

Just leaving this here for future reference.

When the player travels from the Capital Wasteland to the Mojave for the first time in TTW, there is no Vigor-Testing machine SPECIAL allocation at all. In TTW you just walk to the machine and activate it and it skips to the part where Doc Mitchell's will just walk to the door and you're ready to leave his house.

TTW makes the game skip both that SPECIAL and the traits picking parts.

So if you go from FO3 part of TTW to the FNV part of TTW and you get the "Set your SPECIAL values on the Vigor-Testing Machine" then you have a mod conflicting with TTW. smiley
