Converted FO3 companion is silent

Post by th3overseer » Mon Mar 14, 2016 9:36 am

Right, so, I'm 99% sure this is a result of me being absolutely tech-incompetent, but I downloaded this mod http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout3/mods/2390/? and ran into a bit of a snag.

I went through the conversion process, and ported her over to TTW, and on a technical standpoint, it's all working. Buuuuut, she's mute now. I've used this mod in FO3 before I started with TTW, and she used to be fully voiced. Any help would be greatly appreciated, and apologies in advance if I come across as ridiculously inept. Which I am.

The only thing I can think

The only thing I can think about is you renamed the ESP (i.e. from MyCompanion.ESP to MyCompanionTTW.ESP)

I dunno, it doesn't look changed to me. I know I didn't manually rename it a any point.

In \data\sounds\voice\ there

In \data\sound\voice\ there should be a folder named for the mod. If the mod is called "My Companion.esp" , the voice files should be in \data\sound\voice\My Companion.esp\

If this folder doesn't match the esp/esm name, they won't be loaded. If the folder name isn't the same as the plugin, rename the folder to match or vice versa.
