Has any one else had issues with NMM and Windows 10?

Post by Harhan » Tue Dec 08, 2015 5:21 pm

let me Preface this by saying that I have completely re-installed Fallout NV and Fallout 3-GOTY, and installed NVSE, and have no mods for NV or 3 installed.

Previously, I had installed and enjoyed TTW when my computer was still running Windows 8.1 as its Primary OS, however after updating to Windows 10 and doing a fresh install of both games, and trying to install TTW via FOMOD, Nexus Mod Manager just doesn't want to install TTW-Main. It will act as though it's installing then when it gets to 100% it just aborts.

I was just wondering if anyone else had been experiencing this problem, and how I may remedy it, whether I should use a different mod management program, or do a manual installation.

Thanks you to all who take the time to read this.

This is what it shows when

This is what it shows when hovering over the "Not activated" prompt.

The only plugins active/installed are the DLC for New Vegas.

I have no Idea what this means or how to fix it.

Well NMM is not recommended

Well NMM is not recommended for TTW whether you are using Windows 10 or 8. Suggest you try using FOMM or Mod Organizer.

NMM and FOMM both can have

NMM and FOMM both can have issues like this because of bugs in their code when handing large FOMOD's.

It's weird but I've never had

It's weird but I've never had any issues installing the TTW with FOMM. It has worked for me every time. Maybe I was just lucky or maybe I had sufficient hardware to handle it if that made any difference. But I definitely can't say the same thing about NMM. I can't remember it ever installing even once.
