I am having a similar issue which only started after I installed an ENB. It was all working fine while I was in the metro then i exited at Wilhelm's Wharf, killed the talon mercs and went to loot them but the menu wouldn't open. opened the pip-boy and all weapons except NVSE's flashlight and the Binoculars were just exclamation marks and no icons as were all non headgear, modded aid and Misc. I Reloaded before exiting the Metro, everything fine; exited metro, everything still fine; move away from metro, broken. reloaded a save before leaving vault 101, same thing happened before I even reached Springvale.


I tried resetting Archive Invalidation, No ENB (thought it was a memory issue). not sure what else to try as the meshes are there, and then not.

first two posters:  you're missing meshes.  if they're vanilla guns, then something in your LO is changing the model paths for them to new paths which have nothing at the end of them.  


third poster:  your game's borked, and you'll want to try standard troubleshooting to figure out what's wrong.


perms:  either a full fireworks display spelling out "Puppettron Made This" anytime a user accesses my content in-game, or just give me credit somewhere.

After several days of reinstalling everything i just had a thought.

Does New Vegas have a plugin limit of 150 or there abouts? If so then just before I installed the ENB i Installed a few lighting mods which were working in the Metro. As My plugin list reaches 153 I had a look and people seem to report issues around the 150 mark such as Messed up meshes and no menus loading.

I've found ~80 is the sweet spot, if you're pushing your luck. Of course, if you only have 15-20 you don't have to worry about it.

Damn, Might explain why the issue is still occuring at 148. looks like i have some Plugin merges to do. any suggestions on the best way to do that? I have a basic knowledge of FNVEdit for merge patches.

Merge all your patches together, that's a start. find mator the eternal's merge plugins script on nexus. Doesn't matter if it's for TES5Edit or FNVEdit, they are all the same.
