The only thing that typically affects my load times(that's not a blatant mod conflict) is if I change my load order midway through.
@Dood, one thing I noticed is that you are using quite a few lighting mods. Are Electro City and Street Lights compatible? Not sure if this would affect the load times from the save but how much "power" (pun intended) do the lighting mods hit on the game engine? If it's rendering all the light beams etc during load.....I'm just speculating so I apologize if I'm totally off base here. ![]()

I don't think it's performance related. Loading between areas are really quick for me. The only lighting mods I used is Electro City, Realistic Wasteland Lighting Enhanced, and Interior Lighting Overhaul. If it will affect anything, it would be loading screens. Not loading saves, but I'll try out disabling them some time.
Lots of things can cause this, circular leveled lists, gamemode scripts setting quest stages repeatedly, anything else clogging up the procedure stack... it's massively irritating to find it too. We don't know if it's TTW or a mod or an interaction between mods.

Just so we're clear: as it stands the current problem is NOT TTWOptions and it is NOT bsa related, right?
Also just to be clear: I don't care if you're getting 20 second load times. That's normal. If you're used to 5 seconds to load the game and the game is taking 20... I really don't care. We're watching for load times over a minute. If you don't have that don't bother us with this problem. If you do have that problem please always post your accurate load order when updating us on issues and testing.
Thanks all.
My project Dash is on Kickstarter!
TJ, I understand why you felt the need to post the above, but when we talk about load times in the 15-20-30 second ballpark, it's not because we view those as serious, but because the problem only escalates. My load times go well over a minute in games that I continue playing. All times I've listed are for test runs where I've been looking for rising load times, and I expect the others are following a similar strategy when giving updates on their status.
Anyway, I think I'm going to try the BSA thing again, as it occurs to me that the way I tested it was potentially flawed (I tested the BSAs in batches, so if there were multiple problematic archives in seperate batches, I would have missed the signs). I kept the unpacked files and I use MO, so it shouldn't take me too much longer to recheck this.
28 hours in. 28 seconds of loading a save.
Alright it's at least a little better than before with TTW options on my last playthrough. Though 5 second difference is not a whole lot. I guess this means for every hour you put into your save, you add one second to your loading time (at least for me). I think I can deal with this. Just more incentive not to die.
To the guy testing out BSAs, good luck.
I tested now BSA's, no difference, except less stutters when loading cells in the worldspace.
I have a save 80 hours in and my load times are about 3 minutes, and will NOT load when I die. This happened after adding some mods though, so I think that's that culprit.

Okay, 30 hours in. Now takes a minute to load saves. That's a pretty sudden jump from 30 seconds.
Gonna try finishing this playthrough as quickly as possible and get back to New Vegas without TTW to compare.

Thank you for the update Dood. What locations did you visit so far in the game before the load times started to increase?
I have the feeling that for me things start to increase after doing the Minefield quest for Moira. This is very vague of course and there are quite some cells between Megaton and Minefield.
Do you use More Perks? Which perks have you chosen?
Did you visit any Interiors Project cell?

I tried to finish the game quickly, so not many areas I've visited. None of the DLCs yet. I've done the Wasteland Survival Guide quest, so areas related to that has been entered. I only entered a few Interiors Project cells. Places I've been are main quest related. Other than that, only a few areas like Big Town, Tenpenny Tower, and Canterbury Commons.
I think the sudden jump from 30 secs to 1 minute happened around the time the Enclave officers and camps start spawning in the entire CW (after Project Purity).
