They were quests adding things into TTW that are new from the previous version.

9 hours in, it takes 8-10 seconds to load a save file

I compared it with another save from when just leaving the Vault for the first time which was 5 seconds. So that's already a 5 second increase. I just hope it doesn't get worse as I go on as with the previous playthrough.

11 hours in, it takes 7 seconds now to load a save file.

It actually decreased for some reason. Strange... Well, I know for sure I'll never try TTW Options again for a while.

Oh yeah I forgot to tell which modules I used from TTW Options last time. It was the Supermutant Rebalance, Bobblehead Rebalance, and the Improved Cooking options.

Are you 100% certain it's not

Are you 100% certain it's not just a vanilla save bloat issue? The more places you visit and things you do, the more information that is stored in your save file.

Is 6-7MB after 25+ hours of play considered save bloating?

There must be a mod doing

Post by RoyBatty » Wed Jul 08, 2015 11:09 pm

There must be a mod doing this, as Rise is playing TTW vanilla and this is not happening for him at all.

I've finished TTW with mods with 40+ MB saves (lots of mods) so no, the file sizes aren't so much a big deal. Save bloat is nonsense, but the loading times is something that shouldn't be happening.

Are you using any of the TTW options changes?

Roybatty, any chance you'd give us a list of the mods you use? If you're not experiencing this problem, it'll narrow down the list of ones we have to disable to test. That is, of course, assuming that two seperate mods aren't causing this because of a conflict, but I'm feeling optimistic.

Don't worry, I'm having the same problem, but my loads aren't increasing in time. They still take a couple of minutes to load though. Before with TTWOptions I was getting the 15 mins + nonsense.
