Keeping TTW and New Vegas separate problem

Post by HipsterPolice » Tue Oct 06, 2015 3:55 am

Hey guys,

A few months ago I had TTW installed and it was great. However once I uninstalled it most NPCs that you couldn't start a conversation with froze the game so I ended up having to reinstall New Vegas. Last week I reinstalled TTW after someone on the forum mentioned that you can copy the New Vegas folder, allowing you to essentially keep two copies of the game.

However after I wanted to run my normal New Vegas copy again I renamed the TTW NV folder just to "TTW" and changed the original back to "Fallout New Vegas" but now the game says that I am missing master files as if it is still looking for the TTW .esms. Am I doing something wrong?

You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

You have to disable all the TTW and converted Fo3 plugins using your Mod manager.

Also you can't use a save game from TTW in just FNV.

An option would be to use Mod Organizer and have a profile for TTW and one for just NV I guess, but I can't say much more about Mod Organizer because I do not use it, although there are a lot of people around here that love it and could probably help you.
