Can't buy Tenpenny Tower Suite house upgrades

Post by Derperino » Sat Jun 13, 2015 1:25 am

I have the Tenpenny Tower Suite and I want to get upgrades for my house, but for some reason Lydia Montengro wont sell them to many (even when I talk to her about the themes), they are simply not in her inventory for some reason. So I decided to spawn them in with console commands.

The console command for the Pristine Vending Machine is player.additem 000c502b, and Mod Organizer sets Fallout3.esm to 06 Mod Index so I changed the command to 060c502b, but the game says its not a valid object id.

Anyone know what I'm doing wrong? Or even better how to fix Lydia Motengro?

Edit: Ok I have fixed up my load order so that it corresponds with the one in the links you have provided. FO3_WRP is just a weapon retexture mod and shouldn't affect anything to my knowledge. Lydia still won't sell me items related to my house. Fallout 3 is now under the 0A Mod Index, I tried using the 00 Mod Index in the command to spawn the item to no avail, then I tired the new Mod Index 0A, and it still didn't work. I uploaded my new load order if you want to take a look.

Edit 2: So I took a look around with FNVEdit and it turns out, the FalloutNV.esm has changed the item id for the Pristine Vending Machine to 0007C126. So I added this to my inventory, but sadly doing this hasn't added the item to my suite. I also tried adding to to Lydia's inventory, then buying it, but that didnt work either.

Solution: Fixed the problem by disabling TTW Interiors Project.

A lot of Fallout 3 items were left in the esm when they rebuilt it for fnv. Try using the 00 ID value and see if that works.

Read this: https://taleoftwowastelands.com/content/alpha-download-v294a#loadOrder

And this: https://taleoftwowastelands.com/content/faq

And finally this: https://taleoftwowastelands.com/content/load-order-general-guide

Doing that, and following those directions will likely solve your problems. You also seem to have something that may well be an unconverted FO3 esp in your load order i.e. whatever "FO3_WRP.esp" is, if so those cannot be used with TTW without proper converstion.

Don't post offensive pictures, even if it is Vegeta :P

FO3_WRP doesn't work because Mill changed the UV space which makes them incompatible with TTW and pretty much any other mod.

So why don't you just try a range of numbers. Just put in starting and 00 and go up until you get it.

Sorry, it's the only picture I could think of for my signature, and I didn't think it'd be a problem seeing as this site is related to Fallout.

I have deleted FO3_WRP from the mod folder, so it is just the Meshes and Textures being added now.

Why would I try a bunch of other index's if I know it'd either be in FalloutNV.esm which is 00 or Fallout3.esm which is now 0A?

Because sometimes something is or isn't enabled where you think it is, and it might be a index value off. The game will enable disabled plugins that are needed as masters, throwing off the index listed in your mod manager. I cannot tell you how many times I've been frustrated by that, only to realize that some patch got left on and enabled a master higher up in my LO. Even with things like TTW up there it has happened.
