Game locks up at the initial loading slides

Post by GTMoraes » Mon Jun 08, 2015 9:32 am

Hello

My game's not firing up if I have the fallout3.esm enabled. I've tried reinstalling The Game with no luck.

  • System Specs

                    - Core i5 4690k

                    - 12GB RAM

                    - Windows 10 Build 10130

  • Mod Manager and Version

                    - FOMM 0.14.11.9

  • TTW Install Log (My Documents\my games\TaleOfTwoWastelands\Install Log.txt)

  • Current Load Order (Most mod managers have a quick and easy way to export this)

  • Symptoms (What is it doing vs. What you expect it to be doing)

                    - It locks up before reaching the initial menu. I expect it to get to the start menu

  • What you have already tried?

                    - Checking game consistency on Steam. Disabling ESM's until it works (works after I disable Fallout3.esm

Just for safety sake, uninstall all your mods and then reinstall them one by one until the problem repeats itself.

Nuked and paved. Removed the whole Fallout New Vegas and Fallout 3 folders, also their folder on My Games, reinstalled everything fresh and new, booted both once, so they could create the .ini's, rebuilt the TTW FOMODs and installed it.

Exactly the same issue. If I disable Fallout3.esm, game starts.

My suspect would be Windows 10.  Is there a "compatibility mode" that you can run the application in?

Yeah, there is, but it didn't work out..

I've fixed it, it was a broken something. Perhaps something during the last several build updates.

Reinstalled Windows and I've got past the part where the game was hanging up. Now to playing it!

Thanks
