TTW Mod Organizer Install

Post by Amakker » Fri May 22, 2015 12:20 pm

I have been using MO as my only manager for a while now but I cannot figure out how to get the fomod to work with it. I am guessing/assuming that the file size is too large and causing MO to hang when I click install.

So I went to the install directory of TTW and I changed the name of the Main Files folder to >>> TTW Main Files. I opened this and removed the fomod folder and the Ini Settings.ini. Then I compressed the TTW Main Files folder into a zip and added it to MO's mod download directory. MO handled this well and installed TTW rather quickly. I thought this was the best approach rather than dumping the TTW files directly into fallout nv data folder.

According to the manual installation page I need to make some ini edits to both fallout.ini and falloutprefs.ini. I saw in a recent forum post that fallout.ini is enough. Correct?

Also was there an easier way to get this to work with MO or did I go the long route?

Thanks!

The FOMOD wont work with MO,

The FOMOD wont work with MO, because MO's FOMOD installer is based on NMM's FOMOD installer (and it's garbage). Fortunately with MO you don't even need the FOMODs. Navigate to the folder you found the FOMODs in, and you should see "Main Files" and "Optional Files" folders. Rename those to TTW Main and TTW Optional. Copy both to MO/mods. Make sure TTW Main has the ini file inside, and that TTW Optionals has the optionals you want to use  just inside the folder (not inside another folder in that folder). Next you're gonna.... be done. Wasn't that so much easier than waiting on a huge FOMOD to install?
