Keyboard not working in game

Post by Mehridian » Sat May 16, 2015 1:45 pm

I looked through the forum but did not see this issue mentioned before, it may be that I overlooked it. If such is the case I apologize.

System Specs : Windows 7 64 bit ultimate.AMD Athlon x4 860k, 8gb Ram

Mod Manager and Version : FOMM 0.14.11.12

TTW Install Log : Have it if needed

Current Load Order :

Symptoms : not allowing me to use the keyboard for input at all. once I double click the 4gb exe the keyboard no longer shows as inputting data.. the normal keyboard buttons don't work but some of the peripheral buttons do work like "Mute" or Tabbed WIndow (which  is the only way I can get out of the game cause ESC doesnt work)

What you have already tried? rebooting PC

well take a look on your load

Post by Gallahorn » Sat May 16, 2015 3:33 pm

well take a look on your load order and read the installation manual how things should be. After that you have a lot of unused ESP. Remove the mods instead of just unclicking the esp and i mean uninstall them dont just remove the esps. Fix a merge patch too.

Unfamiliar with fixing a merge patch completely sorry.

Ok I removed all the ESP files that I was not using

I went through my load order and found no errors

Fixed the issue of Fallout_Defaults.ini

  • Make these changes:

    • SCharGenQuest = 001FFFF8

    • sIntroMovie = (yes this one is blank on purpose, it needs to be blank)

    • bLoadFaceGenHeadEGTFiles = 1

Still Keyboard is Unresponsive

well you have atleast one issue with the LO that i can see so go read the installation manual again.

And i said uninstall the mods not just remove the esp.

Well merge patch are more or less a must for fallout when you mod them so fix it.

this sounds like a hardware problem, not a LO problem.  not that your LO id problem-free, just that fixing it won't fix your keyboard issue, more than likely.

perms:  either a full fireworks display spelling out "Puppettron Made This" anytime a user accesses my content in-game, or just give me credit somewhere.

Where is the problem in my loadout? I do not see it. And I am beginning to agree with you on hardware compatibility issue.

Worst part is that it worked for 3-4 hours last night.
