I've tried loading previous saves, loading previous saves with all mods disabled, uninstalling all my mods completley. I know the ending can be glitched by custom race mods, but I don't have any of those. Whenever I try to send my companion into the purifier they say no, I've tried Fawkes, and Charon.

Unless you're roleplaying an evil character or MATN style yolo. In those cases I'd send in anyone I could find.
