unable to start downloader. need help plz

the thought of merging fallout 3 and new vegas makes my heart burst with joy and when i downloaded the zip file i extracted the down loader and opened it, it said that something might not have downloaded correctly. i accidentally hit run anyway and now i cant reopen the installer. i even deleted it and re-downloaded it and still no go. i noticed in processes that when I open the down loader it shows in the processes but then about ten seconds later disappears. if anybody can help me that would be great because I am not great with files or modding and i would hate to go the long way, so to anybody who helps, i appreciate it.

run it in admin mode.

i was and i even gave it full permissions. i just tried to troubleshoot and wanted me to use xp on my win7, so i tried it and still nothing.

i don't know why you'd want to run xp on win7 since it runs absolutely fine (and was pretty much built for) win7+

post your install log (documents > my games > taleoftwowastelands) into pastbin.org and drop the link here.

i opened the TOTW folder but it was empty.... is that normal?

wait, i'm an idiot and like 2 stages ahead of you. it's empty cause you haven't installed anything. because you can't get the installer running. i just woke up, sorry.

dont be sorry im the moron who doesnt know this. but i don't get it i have downloaded three times should i be moving the files to this file then extract the downloader?

Sounds like your antivirus might be the issue, try adding an exception for the installer.

i believe i unblocked the file now but i still cant get on. i just realized i didnt check the NET version and there was a message in the begining saying something may have not been down loaded so i am downloading that now
