installation impossible

i have fallout new Vegas ult edition and fallout 3 goty i have installed fomm and have a win 8 computer have followed online tutorials and cant get the blasted installer to download could someone give me detailed working instructions to install this.

If I understand correctly you can't download the installer? Can you see the download page (google drive) after you click the download link?

yeah we can see it but we need to use a app on the microsoft store to unpack it and thats where its fucking us up in the app it says theres 254464 (im guessing kb) but when we look at it on the desktop it says theres only 1 kb on the installer and we cant unpack it on the desktop because microsoft took thaqt away in win 8.

The installer is packed into a .7z file, you will need a program like 7zip (which is free) to unpack it.

The size seems the correct one (for the Tale Of Two Wastelands Installer.exe). Try to extract it to a different location (for example C:/TTW) and try to use the extractor software As Administrator too.

ok sorry to ask again but we are currently up to step 7 and we can only get the ttw options to appear in the fomm package manager screen both files are in the fonv mods file is there something we are doing wrong and what is it.

You do not use anything from the microsoft app store ever. There is your problem.

Here is a hint from Luthien (a team member):

If that is too complicated then you should try a manual installation. If by any chance the files that were extracted are corrupted, then you have to extract with a different software (since .7z is the format of 7zip I advise using that one like I said before) or you have to download the file again and extract it (with 7zip) because maybe the download got corrupted.
