Crash after activating the purifier

Post by Yoavcool » Thu Apr 09, 2015 7:46 pm

Hello everyone

Awesome mod. worked perfectly until now. I activated the purifier, passed out, watched the ending cinematic, and then the game crashes. List of things I've tried:

  • I myself activating the purifier.

  • Fawkes/RL-3/Sarah activating the purifier.

  • Going in without any companions.

  • Saving and reloading in multiple locations, even before Take it back!

  • Tried various fixes with custom races (although I don't use any)

  • Uninstalling some unwanted mods.

Just a second before my game crashes (When it says Two weeks later) I can hear the sounds of computer equipment in the Citadel (I have the Citadel underground fix for TTW installed).

I saw another posts about this, but non had what I experienced.

My system:

  • OS: Windows 7 64bit

  • Proccessor: intel i5-4690k 3.5GHZ

  • Memory: 12GB RAM

Mod manager: NMM 0.53.7

Install log and load order provided.

The installer failed to find the movies that play after activating the purifier, meaning that it never moved them to FNV and so the game crashed when it couldn't find them.

Verify that FO3 is fully updated and unmodded, check FO3\Data\Video and copy over B27, B28 and B29 and then try again.

I modded Fo3 before installing TTW. can it affect that?

And I don't have B27, B28 and B29 in the videos folder although I have Broken Steel installed on 3... strange

It might, that's why I said "Verify that FO3 is updated and unmodded" use Steam to verify the files or reinstall from disk.

Then copy over the files I mentioned.

Not in the least, once the installer has completed, TTW/FNV doesn't care what you do with your FO3 files. So get a clean vanilla, fully updated FO3 folder, grab the videos I mentioned, move them to FNV and you should be good.

Ok I'll try that

<Time passes, a bee flutters by the window, trains come and go, the planet Earth rotates on its axis...>

I tried it and... doesn't work...

OK if I reinstall Broken steel (just replacing the files) Will it load successfully or do I have to do Take it back! again?

Looks like maybe the custom race fix doesn't work as advertised.

Changing the time scale is also known to break the ending.

It's a mod (C) Jax Firehart
