Game crashes to desktop at "Nine Years Later"

Post by Traxxious » Wed Feb 18, 2015 4:42 am

RAM: 4 GB DDR3 Processor: 3.3 GHz FX-Series Six-Core FX-6100 Graphics Card: AMD Radeon HD 6450 (1024 MB) Operating System: Windows 8.1 64-bit Mod Manager: Fallout Mod Manager 0.14.11.9 Mod version: 2.7.3

Current load order: http://pastebin.com/mGmsb6Gh

Issue: Fallout: New Vegas CTDs after the one-year old segment of the game and I've tried so much to get this working. I disabled mods, I uninstalled Readius and I disabled my own cosmetics patch but the issue still persists even with just New Vegas and TTW content loaded and I tried using the alternate start mod for Tale of Two Wastelands on Nexus Mods but that didn't work either. I'm not sure what I should do next.

New Vegas version: Steam

Fallout 3 version: Steam

CTDs in-game have a very

CTDs in-game have a very limited number of reasons for happening.  i'm not aware of all of them off the top of my head, but the ones i've seen have been screwed up meshes sort of things.  you might want to grab everything in your data folder that isn't the core game + TTW + BSAs and chuck it into a different folder outside of your data folder and give it another whirl.

perms:  either a full fireworks display spelling out "Puppettron Made This" anytime a user accesses my content in-game, or just give me credit somewhere.

I'll go ahead and try that; then add some of the mods I know should likely work later, thanks.

Edit: It works, I got rid of all the other mods except for TTW-related stuff and I can now play Fallout 3 without crashes into the sun.

good good, now you can add

good good, now you can add mods back in after you exit vault 101 and hopefully whatever's in the diner that isn't working out won't rear its ugly head again.  and if it does, you'll want to try standard troubleshooting procedures.

I would add to puppet's comment and suggest you add only 1 or a few at a time and try it each time to make sure none are an issue
