Hey guys! A friend of mind recommended me this mod and, as i have been dinking around with NV again recently, I was excited to play this. Usually I am pretty competent when it comes to these things and with this problem I feel as though I am only missing one very small detail. Heres what happens.
Steam version FO3 GOTY
Steam version FO:NV with each DLC bought from the store page over time individually (Not Ultimate Edition) and my copy includes Couriers stash
Windows 7 64-bit home
8GB Ram
i5-3570k CPU 3.4Ghz
Nobody cares about my GPU
Install logs are attached.
FOMM seems to have a color coded way to help you with load order but I will put them here anyhow:
FO3:
Fallout3.esm
Anchorage.esm
ThePitt.esm
PointLookout.esm
Zeta.esm
(I noticed that your install guide says there should be a TaleofTwoWastelands.esm and that has never shown up for me, before or after Main install/uninstall through FOMM..i understand this could be my problem.)
FO:NV
FalloutNV.esm
DeadMoney.esm
HonestHearts.esm
OldWorldBlues.esm
LonesomeRoad.esm
GunRunnersArsenal.esm
MercenaryPack.esm
Everything seems to be perfectly fine...until i install the .Main file...it takes a few minuets..towards the end of the install it gumps me and says:
"Data file 'Music\Base\Base_01.mp3' already exists. Overwrite with this mod's file?"
Which I select 'Yes to all'
it pauses for a moment..if i click anything; try to move the window or anything, at this time it will state its not responding but will clear up within 2 actual minuets or so. gumping me again with:
"The mods wants to modify key 'SCharGenQuest' in section 'General' of E:SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Fallout New Vegas\.. \fallout_default.ini. Allow the change?" Current value '00102037'. new value '001FFFF8'
In which again i click 'Yes to all'
Directly after i click, a quick moment goes by and a gump pops up in the middle of my screen saying
"The mod was successfully installed."
What usually happens is that i click to install optional and it states that main needs to be installed first..
Oddly enough (and i swear i did nothing different) this very time (in order to write you a play by play) upon clicking to install Optional..it gumped me with what im guessing is a list of mod relative tweaks..i double clicked them all and clicked install and it said it installed correctly. This is the first time i have seen that gump or it has installed 'correctly.'
So from this miraculous point..ive gone to create my character. (I honestly tried doing this 11 times and while that may not seem like much it takes a few moments to install so.. also before this post i uninstalled and had given up. (it wasnt the uninstall as I had uninstalled and fresh installed many times before.)
Only packs I cant use are Reputation.esp and StashPackOptions.esp. Because of some missing DLC im guessing is pre-order related. (so i just unclicked them and launched)
Thanks for reading and while i know miracles aren't helpful or informative...maybe someone can make some sense out of what just happened here.

If you're using NMM use FOMM.
If you're using NMM use FOMM. If you're using FOMM do a manual install. For whatever reason not all the files are getting installed.
