Can't get inside Springvale School!

Post by Omny87 » Tue Jun 23, 2015 3:36 pm

So I've been playing this game for a couple days now and haven't had any major problems thus far that I couldn't fix, but this one has proven to be quite a pickle.

I just started out my game, wandered around Springvale a bit, went to Megaton, did a couple minor side quests there, and now I'm trying to get inside Springvale School. But every time I try and go inside, the game crashes to desktop after a couple seconds of loading screen.

What I've tried thus far:

-Going in through a different door. I tried all three doors and all of them ended up crashing.

-Using the 'COC' console command. Teleporting to both Springvale interior cells (SpringvaleSchool01 and 02) didn't work; still crashed.

-Looking through FNVEdit for any conflicts or errors within the cells themselves. The only difference I could find was TTW changing an Explosives Skill Book to a Magazine, and somehow I doubt that'd be the problem (I'll try and change it anyway; if it works I'll let you know).

-Unchecking all but the core .ESMs (Fallout New Vegas, Fallout 3, all the DLCs, and TTW). Same result. On a side nte, all my mods are up to date.

Here are my specs:

OS: Windows 7

Processor: AMD FX-8320 Eight-Core Processor 3.50 GHz

RAM: 8 GB

System: 64-Bit

And here is my load order:

My FO3 game was a GOTY download from Steam.

First thing I would suggest

First thing I would suggest is that you install ttwfixes_2_2_2. So many people either forget to install this or are unaware of it. Try installin it and then see if your problem is resolved. Also try installing NVAC - New Vegas Anti Crash as well as NVSR - New Vegas Stutter Remover. Then use New Vegas 4GB to launch your game via your mod manager.

try standard troubleshooting.

perms:  either a full fireworks display spelling out "Puppettron Made This" anytime a user accesses my content in-game, or just give me credit somewhere.

I just installed TTWfixes. Haven't installed those other things though- will definitely need to do that. Do I need to convert those for TTW, or is that only for Fallout 3 mods?

you only need to convert fo3 mods.  you didn't try to run conversion on everything in your LO did you?

Oh no; just a couple FO3 mods I wanted (the less draw distance).

I downloaded those things you suggested and it worked! Thank you very much.
